Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal were eliminated by Morocco in the quarter-final stage of the FIFA World Cup 2022. Youssef En-Nessyri’s header sealed the deal for the African nation. Morocco defeated Portugal 1-0. Despite possessing a host of talented and young individuals Portugal could not pull off a long run at the world cup.
Ronaldo was seen crying while entering the dugout after the match. It was possibly the last time he stepped onto the pitch for a World Cup match. At 37 years of age, it does not seem likely that Ronaldo will come back to play another World Cup after four years.
What also raises a question mark is that he was already out of favor in this World Cup itself. For the Round of 16 and quarter-finals tie, it was Goncalo Ramos, the Benfica forward that started the match for Portugal. Ronaldo was benched. Just like Erik Ten Hag has treated him at Manchester United, Fernando Santos at Portugal followed suit.
المستحيل ليس مغربيا ولن يكون أبدا مغربيا….

Ronaldo started the first three group-stage games and scored a penalty in the first match of the tournament. It was a tight 3-2 win against Ghana. He started in both the next games against Uruguay and South Korea but was substituted before full-time in all three.
It is still a mystery whether Ronaldo is going to continue to play his club football after Manchester United and Ronaldo mutually terminated the Portuguese player’s contract.
Fans unite to support Moroccan girl after constant trolling by Cristiano Ronaldo fans
In the aftermath of the quarter-final tie, a video surfaced of a 9-year-old Moroccan girl taunting the 37-year-old Ronaldo. She was heard saying, “Where is Ronaldo? Ronaldo is crying in his car.”
Her video spread like wildfire on the internet and Ronaldo fans were not happy about it. They bullied the girl on the internet, so much so, that her parents had to publicly apologize for what she said. The girl started suffering mentally because of the treatment she received on social media.
Her mother said that “she is now going through a very difficult psychological state and to the point that she refuses to eat or speak because of the comments. I assure you that my daughter did not mean to insult the player, Cristiano Ronaldo because she does not know anything about football.”
After the parents apologized for their young girls’ comments, the soccer world united in calling out the ‘shameless’ behavior of Ronaldo fans.
Imagine trolling a kid, shameless

As a Portuguese, I loved watching this video. She was really funny. We need to learn how to take our victories with dignity and our defeats easily. This girl is very smart, a huge sense of humor. She rocks!

Soccer fans have a tendency to be very vocal about their emotions, even if they are toxic in nature. This incident proves that even a little spark can bring out a violent side in people which not even a little girl is safe from.
