SUMMARY
- Previously, it was reported that Kylian Mbappe would move to Real Madrid from PSG.
- Recently, Mbappe was asked by a fan if he would join Arsenal.
While Kylian Mbappe has announced his departure from PSG at the end of this season, his future remains up in the air. It is reported that Mbappe will leave PSG for Real Madrid at the end of the 2023-24 season. Besides Real Madrid, there are a few more clubs that are believed to be in contention for signing Mbappe. However, the PSG star has already named the one soccer club that he won’t be joining.
In a video that has now gone hugely viral on social media platforms, Kylian Mbappe can be seen talking to a young fan. The fan, who’s understood to be a supporter of the English club Arsenal, asks Mbappe to join his club. However, Mbappe looked rather amused at the fan’s request and simply replied with a chuckle. Desperate to convince the PSG talisman, the fan said, “We will look after you.”

Mbappe, however, again laughed at the request and said, “There’s no way. There’s no way.” When the fan further asked Mbappe’s reason behind refusing to join Arsenal, he replied, “It’s too cold there.” While Mbappe might have left the Arsenal supporters heartbroken, the Real Madrid fans continue to wait for the Frenchman’s arrival this summer.
There has been no official confirmation from either Real Madrid, PSG, or Mbappe regarding the latter’s move. However, La Liga chief Javier Tebas has previously stated that he is confident that Real Madrid will sign Mbappe this summer. The Spanish giants have come agonizingly close to signing the 2018 World Cup winner on the past two occasions. However, most soccer fans feel that Mbappe’s arrival at Real Madrid is only a matter of time.
Kylian Mbappe risks having his heart broken by Real Madrid
Unlike most soccer stars, Kylian Mbappe has already fulfilled the dream of winning a World Cup at a very young age. He has also competed in the Euros but was knocked out of the competition in the round of 16. He will get a second attempt to win the competition as the Euro 2024 is set to kick off in June. However, Mbappe has yet to fulfill his other dream of playing in the Olympic Games.

Mbappe has previously expressed his desire to play in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Moreover, this year, the Olympics will be held in his hometown. However, there are reports which suggest that Real Madrid might not be open to allowing their potential talisman to play both in the Euro 2024 and the 2024 Paris Olympics. In addition to this, since FIFA doesn’t organize the Olympics, the clubs have the final say over the participation of their players.

The French forward, however, isn’t looking to cause any rift with his club. In an interview with GQ recently, he said, “For any athlete, the Olympics have a special place. If they (the club) let me do them, I would go with great pleasure but if it is not possible, I would understand.” Lastly, France U-23 coach Thierry Henry has also revealed that he wants Mbappe to be one of three players allowed over the mentioned age limit.
FC Barcelona star remains unfazed ahead of Kylian Mbappe’s potential move to Real Madrid
Meanwhile, FC Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski has had his say ahead of Kylian Mbappe’s potential move to Real Madrid. Lewandowski remained confident that Mbappe’s potential arrival wouldn’t be much of a concern for Real Madrid’s arch-rivals. He said, “We’re not afraid, I take it positively.” Lewandowski also added that competing against Mbappe in La Liga would be “fun.”
Nevertheless, Mbappe’s potential arrival would be a source of concern for all the Spanish teams. Moreover, FC Barcelona’s ongoing financial crisis has continued to hinder the club from signing big players who come with huge price tags. However, the Polish skipper’s words indicate that FC Barcelona is ready to take on Real Madrid’s star-studded team with their depleted squad plagued with injury problems and economic woes.
