World-renowned rapper Drake confessed to being a Cristiano Ronaldo fan on a live stream with IShowSpeed. Speed, who is an internet personality seeing rapid growth, was surprised just like his fans when Drake picked up his call.
Speed was all over him at the beginning of the call. “Yo, Drake! What’s good bro?” Speed said while almost jumping out of his chair in excitement. “You look great right now, what’s up? What are you doing right now?”
The two had a surprisingly wholesome conversation with Drake even praising Speed. The rapper said he is proud of how Speed has grown into fame.
“I’m proud of you boy,” Drake said.
“Damn, this is crazy,” Speed responded. “You’ve gotta understand for me, I’m a huge fan of you.”
However, this conversation took a turn towards talking about soccer GOATs. The pair discussed who among Ronaldo and Lionel Messi is the best player.
Speed asked Drake to choose between Ronaldo and Messi.

“For me, probably Ronaldo to be honest,” Drake answered. “But I know that’s probably not gonna go over well. I know it’s Messi’s moment right now, but for me, I’ve just always been a Ronaldo fan. I’m like you.
“I’ve got a lot of love for you,” he added. “I’m proud of you, you’re doing your thing. I was talking about you the other day.”
After Drake sent so much love to Speed, the internet personality had to take the conversation in the wrong direction. He just could not help himself from firing back some love. However, he did with some terrible phrasing.
“Bro, your voice is so sexy,” Speed said. “How’s it so smooth like that?” Rather than responding to this weird question, Drake ended the call.
Drake mentioned Cristiano Ronaldo in his song in 2018
In Drake’s fifth studio album ‘Scorpion’ which dropped in June 2018, he added a shout-out for Cristiano Ronaldo. The five-time Grammy award-winning rapper has made no secret of his admiration for the soccer world. He has been seen wearing soccer jerseys on stage. He has also forged friendships with soccer personalities such as Paul Pogba and Neymar, among others.

However, it was Ronaldo who got shouted out in the song ‘Blue Tint‘. Drake mentioned Ronaldo’s lavish lifestyle. The line “Way this s**t set up I live like Ronaldo, but I never been to Madrid” features in the first verse of the song.
Drake also went on to mention both Ronaldo and Messi in a song in 2022. The rapper featured in Future’s new song called ‘I’M ON ONE’ and in the second verse named both Ronaldo and Messi.
