Kevin De Bruyne, the masterful midfielder for Manchester City, recently silenced critics of Cristiano Ronaldo without saying a word.
It was all based on a tweet from the well-known X account “Out of Context Football.” A screenshot of Kevin De Bruyne’s X profile showing that he had ‘liked’ a specific tweet was included in the tweet.
According to the tweet in question, Cristiano Ronaldo has more assists than Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta despite being a goal scorer and forward throughout most of his career.

Unsurprisingly, fans of both Ronaldo and De Bruyne took notice of this seemingly innocuous “like” on X.
One fan commented, “He knows the real GOAT,” emphasizing the belief that Cristiano Ronaldo deserves the tag of the “Greatest of All Time” in soccer.
Another fan simply stated, “Class recognizes class,” highlighting the mutual respect and admiration between two exceptional players, De Bruyne and Ronaldo.

The tweet’s content made a fascinating comparison between Cristiano Ronaldo, Xavi Hernandez, and Andres Iniesta. Although Xavi and Iniesta are well known for their skill in the middle of the pitch and ability to create plays.
However, Ronaldo’s assist total surpassed both of them. Ronaldo’s 242 assists demonstrated his versatility and showed that he is more than just a goal scorer; he can also help his teammates score goals.
To put the numbers into perspective, Xavi Hernandez has made 237 assists throughout his illustrious career, which is an impressive accomplishment in and of itself. Andres Iniesta, a second master of the midfield, recorded 192 assists.
While we cannot overstate Xavi and Iniesta’s contributions to the game, Ronaldo is a soccer phenomenon in his own right because of his ability to score goals and set them up.
