The relationship between PSG superstars Neymar Jr. and Kylian Mbappe seems to be in a jiffy after a couple of incidents in recent days. The French Champions PSG recently lost their 1st leg of the Round of 16 UEFA Champions League tie against German side Bayern Munich which left the team demotivated.
French superstar Kylian Mbappe came off the bench and sparked some life into PSG’s attack by creating numerous chances but the forward had two goals disallowed in the second half which meant that the Qatar-owned club go into the 2nd leg with a one-goal deficit.
The loss didn’t seem to demotivate Mbappe as he looked confident and talked about a comeback in the Allianz Arena in the second leg and advised his teammates to train well and rest during the next weeks to make a comeback against an upbeat Bayern Munich.

Mbappe said: “Everyone needs to be healthy, sleep well, eat well. We can do something there. If we are more offensive, they are uncomfortable. Let’s quickly move on and go again.”
Mbappe’s remarks seemed to have not bothered his teammate Neymar as the Brazillian was seen in a poker club after the loss against Bayern and was then also spotted at a McDonald’s outlet. It has been speculated that Neymar doesn’t care about the results and lacks professionalism like Mbappe who wants to win at any cost.
Neymar sheds light on his relationship with Kylian Mbappe
The relationship between the two superstars has been clinging on a thin thread ever since PSG signed both of them for huge transfer fees in 2017. The feud started to generate soon after a conflict arose as to who will be the team’s penalty kick taker and it seems that the feud hasn’t stopped ever since.
It was reported that Neymar recently felt that the French forward had tried to force him out of the club as there were rumors of the Brazillian’s exit from PSG. Neymar recently gave a frosty reply when asked about his relationship with Kylian Mbappe during an international friendly, an incident that fueled the fire regarding the feud between them.
Neymar was asked about his relationship with Mbappe after Brazil’s friendly match against Ghana and the forward rather unsatisfyingly said: “My relationship with Mbappe? I don’t…”, the expressions on Neymar’s face led everyone to believe that something was wrong between the two.
Now, this incident of Neymar’s open defying of Mbappe’s advice has added more fuel to the fire as it has been reported that Mbappe’s comments about ‘eating and sleeping well’ were targeted at Neymar only in the first place. It remains to be seen how the stars do in their second leg of the tie and whether they will be able to make a comeback at the Allianz Arena.
