Lionel Messi has become an instant hit since moving to Inter Miami. However, there were questions raised about whether Messi would be able to fit in his new side. Although with 13 goal contributions in just 8 games, Messi has shut up his critics. However, since moving to the US, Lionel Messi’s new bodyguard has also been garnering plenty of attention.
During his first few days in Miami, Lionel Messi was mobbed several times by fans. This led to fans voicing their concerns about the Inter Miami star’s security. This led to Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham picking a personal bodyguard for the Argentine star. Beckham has appointed Yassine Chueko, an ex-US soldier who has served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Cheuko also has prior experience and training as a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter. Chueko can be seen following Lionel Messi like a shadow wherever he goes. Chueko’s vigilance over Messi and his towering stature has made him an instant hit among fans online.

Most recently, a video emerged of Yassine Chueko walking along the sidelines during Inter Miami‘s US Open Cup clash against FC Cincinnati. The video has gone viral on social media platforms and has left fans in splits. Cheuko’s strict monitoring of Messi has led to one fan saying, “The team must just sign De Paul and leave this guy alone.”

Although most fans have been at ease after watching Yassine Chueko guarding Lionel Messi. Previously, former Inter Miami goalkeeper Nick Marsman had raised questions about whether the club can provide enough protection to a player of Messi’s stature. However, under David Beckham and Yassine Chueko’s watch, Lionel Messi will hopefully remain immune to any danger.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi has made a special appearance in Colombian artist Maluma’s latest song ‘Trofeo’. Maluma, who is a huge soccer fan, paid homage to Messi in his new song. Puerto Rican singer Yandel has also been part of Maluma’s latest hit. Maluma was also part of the FIFA World Cup 2022 anthem which featured other artists like Nicki Minaj and Myriam Fares.
In the music video, Lionel Messi can be seen walking out on the pitch at the DRV PNK stadium in an Inter Miami jersey. The 36-year-old star can also be seen holding a trophy in his hands. The Chantaje hitmaker, who’s also wearing an Inter Miami shirt, then joins Messi on the pitch. Messi further hands over the trophy to Maluma, before the pair embrace each other.
Maluma had previously released the teaser of his new song on his Instagram titled, “A Tribute to the GOAT.” He also recently shared pictures of him receiving an autographed Inter Miami shirt from Lionel Messi earlier this month. The official video of the song, which was released on YouTube yesterday, currently has 538,000 views.
