EA Sports’ new game FC 24 is set to release on September 29 worldwide, however, fans gained access to the game seven days before the release by ordering the Ultimate Edition. An early footage of the pack openings has gone viral on social media.
A pack opening footage was uploaded by Matteo Giovanninie on X. In the clip, we can see Cristiano Ronaldo’s card with an 86 rating walking out dancing, and celebrating, normal pack opening right? What followed made the clip viral-worthy.
While Ronaldo was celebrating, the game avatar of Lionel Messi walked out from the right side to shove Cristiano Ronaldo away from the screen, revealing his 90-rated card. It confirmed that the user has landed both Messi and Ronaldo in a single pack, which is quite rare, so early in the game.
The gaming community online was amused by the clip, as not only the pack was jaw-dropping, but the walkout animation between the two icons was legendary. Fans were quick to point out the legendary rivalry.

Some made the observation that the shoving can be seen as a visual representation of Messi shoving Cristiano Ronaldo out of the GOAT debate since winning the FIFA World Cup back in December 2022.
Others praised EA for adding this new feature of ‘double walkout’ in pack openings to add some new twists and excitement to pack openings. It is to be noted that these double walkouts are extremely rare, making them quality content for social media.
Double walkouts in EA FC 24 explained
So what are double walkouts in the Ultimate team? For context, let’s understand a single walkout. A Walkout was introduced as a feature in Ultimate in FIFA 17. The FIFA series was the name of EA’s FC series, before the name change last year.
A Walkout occurs when you open a pack in the Ultimate team mode in the game and land a high-quality player, usually rated higher than 86 in the game, then the said player will ‘walkout’ in front of you with extravagant animations before the full pack is revealed.

In EA FC 24, the Double Walkout feature has been introduced, in which two players can walk out together or one by one in different fun animations before the pack is revealed.
Earlier, if you landed two high-quality players in the same pack, only the higher-rated one used to walk out before the pack. Now, both players can walk out before the pack, adding excitement to the pack openings.
Ultimate Team has also introduced the features of evolving your players and incorporating Women’s players in the Ultimate Team. It means that Women players can also walk out in your Ultimate team pack opening which can lead to some hilarious reactions which was evident on a recent stream of IShowSpeed.
