Lionel Messi’s contract situation at PSG has raised alarm bells at the French club and all over the globe with many clubs trying to tempt the Argentine to sign for them, with the latest addition to this list being Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia.
Al-Ittihad is one of the leading clubs in Saudi currently sitting at the second spot on the SPL table only behind Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr. Ronaldo moved to Al-Nassr earlier this year on a lucrative contract and has already hit the ground running with his new club.
Al-Ittihad has reportedly offered Messi a humongous $187 million deal over the two years as the club tried to tempt the World Cup champion to sign for them in a bid to compete with Al-Nassr’s increasing fan engagements ever since they signed Cristiano Ronaldo.

The fans will be really excited by the developments in this transfer rumor because if Messi decides to join Al-Ittihad, it could mean a blockbuster last showdown between two of the greatest player ever, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Lionel Messi has fans convinced he won’t join Al-Ittihad
Fans have been divided ever since the transfer rumor of Messi and Al-Ittihad was reported, we went to Twitter to take a look at how the fans reacted:
A fan believed that Lionel Messi would not repeat Cristiano Ronaldo in moving out of Europe and joining the Saudi Pro League as the Argentine has got massive pride which the Portuguese lacks.

We noticed a fan who was of the opinion that the only reason Cristiano Ronaldo chose the Saudi Arabian club, Al-Nassr was because of the money they offered him and Lionel Messi won’t do the same no matter how much Al-Ittihad offers him.
They wrote: “My goat wouldn’t fold for the bag like Penaldo”
