According to a report by ‘Transfer News Live’ on ‘X’, Anthony Martial is expected to pen a contract extension with the Red Devils. The post has labeled the source as the British media outlet of Sky Sports. However, Sky Sports deleted their tweet regarding the similar report, soon after they posted it. So, the rumor of the 28-year-old signing an extension of his contract at United might not be true.
Also earlier Sky Sports reported that United’s defender Raphael Varane wanted to leave the club. Sky Sports had to delete their tweet about Raphael Varane as well. No such news regarding the player wanting to leave Old Trafford came out from the United’s hierarchy. With such a great reputation for protecting as far as breaking soccer news, Sky must be careful in rushing such falsified reports.

Fans worldwide have reacted to the falsified reports slated by Sky Sports regarding Martial and Varane. After all the current on-field struggles of the Red Devils, this recent saga by Sky Sports surrounding Premier League club Manchester United hasn’t gone down well with the club’s supporters.

A United fan asserted – “No matter what we are doing on the pitch, we will always be the biggest news off it”. It can be inferred from the fans reactions that they can’t get their head around how a reputed brand like Sky can report such errorneous stuff about their club.
Anthony Martial is not featuring regularly for United. It remains to be seen what happens in terms of his future at the club.
