According to the Sun, the club’s players feel that the Brazilian winger should be dropped by the manager following the physical abuse accusations that his girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin has directed towards him. The Brazil national team has already dropped him from their squad in the wake of this incident.
Manchester United have not currently taken any action against the player. But the former Ajax star might not have a secured future at the club, especially after his national team dropped him recently due to his girlfriend’s allegations

The Brazilian FA released a statement following their decision to drop the star. In the statement, the FA wrote, “The Brazilian Football Confederation statement read: “As a result of the facts that have come to light, and which need to be investigated, and in order to safeguard the supposed victim, the player, and the Brazilian national team the CBF have withdrawn [him] from the squad.”
The Greater Manchester Police also gave a statement about knowing about the ongoing case. They said, “We are aware of the allegations made and inquiries remain ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this report. We will not be commenting any further at this time”.
It is now to be seen what steps the club takes against the star. whether he will be dropped from the squad. Or will the club give him the benefit of the doubt until proven guilty? Only time will tell.

However, I can calmly state that the accusations are false and that the evidence already produced and the other evidence that will be produced demonstrate that I am innocent of the accusations made.”
