Manchester United have decided if Mason Greenwood will be a part of Erik Ten Haag’s squad for the upcoming season or not.
The 21-year-old striker was spotted at the Carrington training with Manchester United’s squad. Greenwood was arrested by the English police in early 2022 for alleged crimes of assault against Harriet Robson. The club banned him from taking part in any club-related activities and refused to comment further.
On February 2023, the English judiciary dropped all charges against Greenwood, citing that new evidence came to light. After the release, Mason Greenwood and his girlfriend even announced that they are expecting a baby together. Strong rumors also suggest that both are set to marry each other and have buried the hatchet.

The English forward has not been involved in any of the Manchester United fixtures since January 2022. However, the club never removed the name of the striker from their roster of players. It was speculated that after the possible sale of the club, with the consent of new owners, the club will take a call on the striker.

Manchester United have signed the Danish center forward Rasmus Hojlund to bolster their attack. In a way, it points towards the end of the road for Greenwood. The attacker was linked to a loan move to the Italian league with Atalanta and Roma interested in signing him.
