Manchester United have decided to cut their ties with Mason Greenwood. The speculation was that Mason would play again for United. However, all those rumors have been smoked away by the latest news. The club no longer wants Mason Greenwood to play for them.
🚨 BREAKING: Mason Greenwood will NO longer play for Manchester United.
United and Greenwood have mutually agreed that his future will be away from Manchester United following the conclusion of the club’s internal investigation. pic.twitter.com/K2Tg65e2tk

The winger is free to pursue his career outside the Old Trafford. The Red Devils will not give him a chance. They are not satisfied with the outcomes of the internal investigation. The club did all that was within its capacity to grant the youngster another chance. However, as things stand the club and the player will be parting ways.
Greenwood has not represented United since he got into legal concerns in the first month of last year. The sudden dismissal of the player from the team despite his impressive performance put the fans in a fix with the player’s situation. However, the fans slowly caught wind of the charges against the player as soon as Harriet Robson’s social media posts came to the surface.
The decision to part ways, despite its formal attire, hides the huge influence of social conformity. Earlier this month, when news started to leak that the club is thinking about reintegrating the player into the first team, the social media platforms erupted. While some wanted to give the youngster a chance, most players wanted to see the back of Greenwood.
The hierarchy tried to bring him back, which is terrible. Only public opinion made them change their minds

Mason Greenwood’s statement and where will he play after leaving Manchester United?
Greenwood has also given a statement of his own after the whole outcome of the incident. He has mentioned his thoughts on the situation in a clear way. The Youngster said “He understands that violence is not permitted in any relation, understands that he has made a mistake that led to that social media post and, today a mutual decision between him, his family, and Manchester United has been reached. The player thanks everyone for the support he has received while playing for the Red Devils”.
Mason Greenwood statement 🔴⤵️
I want to start by saying I understand that people will judge me because of what they have seen and heard on social media, and I know people will think the worst.
I was brought up to know that violence or abuse in any relationship is wrong, I did… pic.twitter.com/uFodIG1xzq

There is also a preferred question among the fans. Where will the ex-United starlet play after leaving the club? Fans are not having clarity that whether this departure from Old Trafford, will lead the winger to another club or not. One of the possible destinations could be AS Roma in Italy. Jose Mourinho is one of the best coaches for inside forwards like Greenwood. Apart from Rome, Saudi Arabia, going by their current track record is a very probable option as well.
The current post from Fabrizio Romano on Twitter did give a signal to the fans that the player can continue pursuing his career. Will a club in Europe opt for the services of Greenwood or the player have to look outside Europe? Fans would have to wait for this outcome, as they waited for the verdict on the player’s Manchester United’s future.
