Shakira and Gerard Pique have been one of the most talked-about couples for the last 12 months. It all started after they broke up when Shakira found out about Pique’s infidelity. This resulted in the couple being constantly followed by paparazzi everywhere they went, but it seems like the former soccer player has had enough now.
Pique and his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti, have recently filed a request for a restraining order against journalist Jordi Martin. Jordi has been sharing news about Pique and Shakira ever since the breakup. He has been publicly taking the side of Shakira during the feud, which seems to have not gone well with Pique.
Pique and Clara arrived at a court recently holding hands, as Jordi was also present during the court proceedings. The couple alleged that the constant presence of the paparazzi has resulted in an infringement of their privacy.

Jordi, on the other hand, stated that Pique was coming after him because he was close to Shakira. The Spanish journalist has lashed out publicly at Pique for cheating on the mother of his children with a 24-year-old.
Jordi further stated that if the court issued the restraining order, it would set a terrible example for the Spanish press. The couple would have to prove that Jordi has infringed on their privacy and harassed them. They would have to do this by establishing that he took their pictures on private property.
Jordi said: “If the judge approves that measure, it will set a terrible precedent for photojournalists and the press in general.” It remains to be seen what the court decides in its verdict after the application was made. Whether they side with Pique and Clara or Jordi is a question that will be answered soon.

This isn’t the first time that Pique and Clara have been involved in a public spat with Jordi. Jordi was one of the first journalists to break the news about Pique cheating on Shakira with Clara.

The couple was previously alleged to have tried to run over the journalist after he exposed their scandal. The journalist revealed this information in March on the Spanish TV program “El Gordo y la Flaca”.
Pique’s hatred for Jordi is somewhat explained, as it was he who turned his world upside down last year. The scandal that was exposed by Jordi proved disastrous for Pique. He went into a public war with Shakira after this, as she dissed him with a song.
