Brazillian soccer legend Pele has been credited with over a thousand career goals according to records data. However, the reports do claim that some of the Brazillian’s goals came in the friendly matches also. This total tally accounts for after taking those goals in friendly matches also.
Another soccer player with a thousand career goals is reported to be Brazil-born Romario. However, just like Pele, his goal tally was also aided by the friendly matches he participated in. The numbers notch down a bit when friendlies are ignored.
Both Pele and Romario are reported to have scored around seven hundred and fifty-seven and seven hundred and seventy-two goals respectively. This excludes the minor friendly matches which they played in their respective careers.
On the other hand closest to them is, Cristiano Ronaldo who is currently just a hundred and forty-seven goals away from a thousand career goals. CR7’s latest goal came for his club Al-Nassr in his outing against Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League. The 38-year-old has already bagged twenty-three goals in his twenty-seven outings for the Saudi-based side.

However, before joining Al-Nassr, the veteran had scored many goals for other clubs which he had played earlier. For Real Madrid, the Portuguese netted four hundred and fifty goals.
In the English Premier League, for Manchester United, he has a hundred and forty-five goals. In Seria-A the player has scored a hundred and one goals for Juventus FC. During his short tenure at Sporting CP, the veteran netted five goals in thirty-one games.
As far as CR7’s international career goes, for Portugal, the 38-year-old has a hundred and twenty-three goals. The Portuguese has represented his national side in a total of two hundred and one matches so far in his career.

Hungarian legend Ferenc Puskas has over seven hundred and forty-five goals to his name. While Germany’s former striker Gerd Muller has seven hundred and thirty-four goals to his tally. It can be said that soccer has seen legends over the years. But, players with this number of goals, have shown that anything is possible.
