Lionel Messi’s contract with Inter Miami may not expire until late 2025, but the Argentine is said to have found another team after he leaves the USA. Messi has gotten an incredible reception from fans and celebrities alike since joining Inter Miami.

In what would be a closure to his career, Messi may decide to end his career in his native country. According to El Nacional, the five-time Ballon d’Or holder would move to his boyhood club, Newwell’s Old Boys, when his contract at Inter Miami expires.
Since his arrival, the American public has taken the World Cup winner to their hearts, and he has been greeted like a rockstar at stadiums around the country. He has already etched out a place in Miami’s history after leading the club to their first-ever prize, the Leagues Cup.
On multiple times, he has expressed a wish to end his glittering career at the club he supported as a young lad. Even in his prime, he lauded the prospect, telling Spanish magazine El Planeta Urbano in 2016: “If I go back to Argentina tomorrow, which I would love to do, the club I would play for would be Newell’s”.
