The entire world has been celebrating the legend’s triumph in Qatar this year. There even have been reports that mention Messi’s face might be on Argentina’s banknotes. That’s not all the mayhem Messi has been causing off the pitch.

Messi’s Instagram post has accumulated more than 70 million likes on the platform. This has shattered the previous record. The account that held it for a long time, posted an image of an egg and managed to beat Kylie Jenner’s record. However, after almost 4 years, it seems like Messi has taken the throne. The account that now sits in second place, responded to the soccer legend as well.
In an Instagram story, the user wrote, “4 years ago we set out on a mission, 9 days later we made internet history. Together. Today [Lionel Messi] has taken the crown (for now) but I’m still left with one question…” For those who don’t know, the question was that whose side the fans were on; Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi.
