The PSG-Kylian Mbappe saga has taken a new turn recently as reports indicate that the club has already found Mbappe’s replacement. Last month, Mbappe announced his decision to leave PSG after the end of next season. The French forward has an option of extending his contract until 2025, but he will not exercise it. Although Real Madrid is in pole position to sign Mbappe, he is yet to reveal his future destination.
Kylian Mbappe has been PSG’s poster boy for quite some time now. He is the club’s all-time leading goal-scorer and is also one of the highest-paid athletes in the world. However, Mbappe, who joined the French club back in 2017, will finally leave PSG next season. However, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has assured that they won’t let Mbappe leave for free.

Kylian Mbappe must decide whether he will sign a new PSG deal as soon as possible. “He has to decide next week or in two weeks. No more than this. If he does not want to sign a new contract, the door is open.” 🇫🇷 pic.twitter.com/1vvRW2dZA5— Ben Jacobs (@JacobsBen) July 5, 2023
Nasser Al-Khelaifi recently stated in a press conference that Kylian Mbappe has to decide his future within a week or two. He said, “If he does not want to sign a new contract, the door is open. No one is bigger than the club, no player, not even me.” Moreover, the Parisian club has also set its sights on another talented French winger who will replace Mbappe in case of his departure.

How many players have PSG signed in the current transfer window?
After the disappointing end to the last season, PSG is proactively working to build their squad for the next season. The Ligue 1 giants faced yet another dismal exit in the Champions League, losing 3-0 on aggregate against Bayern Munich. The club has already fired their former manager Christophe Galtier and has signed the former FC Barcelona coach Luis Enrique.
In addition to this, the club has already confirmed the signing of many players. PSG has signed as many as six new players in the ongoing summer transfer window. While not all signings have been officially announced, it is reported that the club will complete the signings in the coming days. Manuel Ugarte, the young Uruguayan defender, joined PSG on a $65 million deal.
