After substituting Kylian Mbappe in PSG’s previous Ligue 1 fixture at Parc des Princes, Luis Enrique was pretty pragmatic about his approach to the game and the decision that he made. “Sooner or later we (PSG) will play without Mbappe, so I am looking for the best option for the team”, the manager stated in his post-match interview.

Luis emphasized that PSG must “get used to” playing without Mbappe. In his earlier statement regarding playing without their star 25-year-old forward, he reflected – “I want maximum competitiveness next season and I want every single player to feel that this is an opportunity for them”. It seems the Les Parisiens’ boss is keen on keeping his side at a higher level.
However, with Kylian Mbappe being PSG’s main attacking threat over the years, it would take quite a significant build-up for the club to adjust without his services. While Mbappe looks set to join Real Madrid in the summer, the Les Parisiens seems eager to cope without him.

As per the reports, after the February 15th Champions League first-leg clash against Real Sociedad, the 25-year-old hasn’t played a full 90 minutes for PSG in any of their Ligue 1 outings. Since Mbappe used to be the major attacking force of the team, this signifies the fact maybe the club is already planning to adjust their gameplay for the times ahead.
