Hostility towards Clara emerged after rumors of her relationship with the Barcelona legend began to surface. News about their affair coincided with the announcement of Pique and Shakira’s split. And as a result, many fans still believe Pique was cheating on the Columbian singer with Clara.

The media have shown almost no respect for the couple’s privacy, which became evident during the latest incident of Clara being hassled in public. The 23-year-old wasn’t just heckled either, as she was also the recipient of a rather cruel remark.

The incident can be seen in this clip, which displays Pique and Clara walking out of a building and into the streets of Barcelona. The couple is swarmed by the media almost immediately, with cameras and microphones all aimed at them.
The couple made a beeline for their vehicle, yet they were unable to avoid some unpleasant comments. The remark in question can be heard towards the end of the clip, “you will never reach Shakira’s feet, Shakira is prettier.”
Needless to say, the incessant criticism and trolling Clara has received has likely been detrimental to her mental health. And these comments aren’t even the worst of it.
Clara Chia Marti suffered ‘unjustifiable suffering’ because of a journalist
The 23-year-old’s troubles with the media have reached a point where the couple had to get a restraining order against a journalist by the name of Jordi Martin.
Martin spared no opportunity to invade Clara’s personal life, and as a result, she filed a police complaint against him. Following a court trial, it was stated that Martin caused her “unjustifiable suffering”, and now, he cannot come within 20 meters of the PR student.
