Another development in the famed separation of Shakira and Gerard Pique is upon us. This time it is related to Pique’s present partner Clara Chia Marti. It is easy to guess that Shakira has no affinity towards Clara. However, the digs that the Colombian singer has taken on her would really hit a nerve.
Shakira and Pique were together for over a decade, however, they announced their separation in the summer of 2022. It was later speculated that they broke up because Pique cheated on Shakira. In fact, it was reported that Shakira found out about Pique’s infidelity through an empty jar of jam.
What fuelled the fire are recent reports that Pique’s mother Montserrat Bernabeu knew about this and hid Pique’s affair from Shakira. The Colombian singer reportedly even threw arms at Pique’s mother after this.

However, the most recent development is still speculative. It is about a selfie posted by Shakira on Instagram and its caption. In the selfie, she shows her face with one-half of it immersed in shadows. The caption of the post is: “Chiaroscuro.”
Fans were immediately taken back to the ‘BZRP Music Session #53‘ references. The ‘Waka Waka’ singer uses a pun by the name of Clara in that diss song. However, much to the gossip lover’s disappointment, the word “Chiaroscuro” has a different meaning. It is not related to Clara. According to Hola!, it is an Italian word mostly referring to art.
Shakira used the word ‘Claramente’ in her diss track to fire shots at Clara Chia Marti
Shakira released a famous diss track about her ex Pique and his new partner Clara a few months ago. The track was made in collaboration with Argentine rapper Bizarrap. The Colombian singer has taken evident digs at both Pique and Clara in this track.
Some of the lyrics translated into English are, “She has the name of a good person, Clearly (”Clara”…mente) is not what it sounds like.” Here, Shakira uses the word ‘Claramente’ in reference to Clara. Not completely taking her name for it but it is a very sly and evident dig.

Just like this, she has gone on to talk about Pique as well. Some more lyrics of the song are as follows, “Sorry baby, I should have thrown you out a while ago / A she-wolf like me is not for rookies.”
This song was loved by fans. It earned Shakira 14 Guinness World Records. She proudly posed with them a few weeks ago.
