Barcelona player Alejandro Balde has landed himself in hot waters with the fans of American pop singer Taylor Swift after his recent comments on her music.
In a recent interview, Alejandro Balde admitted to not liking Taylor Swift‘s music. The player shared, “Do I like Taylor Swift? No, I don’t like her music.”
This comment, however, did not sit well with Swift’s fanbase. As per reports, the supporters of the American singer have started a movement to vote for Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham in the 2023 Golden Boy Award to beat the young Spaniard.

Journalist Martin Manin has reported that more than 100,000 votes were bestowed in favor of Bellingham just minutes after the release of the interview.
The fans of the American pop singer, popularly known as Swifties, are renowned for their love and loyalty to the singer. And by the looks of it, they are prepared to go to war to defend their idol as they continue to swarm social media, asking to vote for the English midfielder.
Balde was well on his way to winning the Golden Boy Award, having enjoyed a brilliant past season for Barcelona under manager Xavi. The player had registered one goal and seven assists to his name in his 44 appearances for the club.

Although the former Borussia Dortmund player is nowhere underserving of the Golden Boy Award. The English international bagged 14 goals and seven assists in 42 games last season for the Bundesliga club. Moreover, he has already scored five goals and provided one assist in his Real Madrid career.
Alejandro Balde’s advice to Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal
Alejandro Balde is currently on international duty along with Barcelona teammate Lamine Yamal. This is the first-ever call-up for the youngster. Balde was asked to offer some advice to Barcelona’s wonder kid, Yamal, as the 19-year-old has already experienced all of these.
In an interview with Mundo Deportivo, Balde shared, “Take it calmly, don’t try to look at the media too much because sometimes it can change your point of view. Have a good circle of friends and let your family help you as much as possible.”

He further praised Yamal, “He is a very good player, with great characteristics that are not seen today. He is a footballer who is going to help us a lot both in the national team and in Barça.”
The 16-year-old is the youngest player to appear in the Catalan club’s first team at the age of 15. So far, the player has made three appearances for the La Liga club. With his first call-up to the national team, he would be hoping to feature in the next game for Spain.
