The ‘SIUUU’ celebration of Cristiano Ronaldo needs no introduction. Players and fans around the world have been copying the iconic celebrations for years, but one superfan of the superstar took the celebration to new heights, literally.
A video is making rounds on the internet where a fan recreated the iconic celebration on top of an active volcano. The video is shot by a flying drone which captures the absurdity of the action as the hot smoke from the active volcano can be seen coming out in the background.
The fan ran up towards the mountain peak to hit the ‘SIUUU’ celebration and followed it by the sleeping celebration to complete the full combo. The video has been shared by many fan accounts of the Portuguese superstar and has reached more than 180,000 views on @CristianoXtra_ account on X.
The ‘SIUUU’ celebration has reached unreal influence from around the world. The celebration has been used by cricket players, NFL players, and tennis players to celebrate their triumphant moments in their sport. It has even been adopted by world-renowned streamers like IShowSpeed who have only added to the lore of the celebration.

In soccer, the celebration is still prominent even after a decade. Ronaldo still pulls out this celebration here and there while scoring for Al-Nassr. Meanwhile, Alejandro Garncho celebrated his wonder goal with the ‘SIUUU’ to attach the celebration with one of the best Premier League goals in recent memory.
The celebration is here to stay, as evident in the recently concluded Under 17 FIFA World Cup. German players celebrated with ‘SIUUU’ while wearing their winning medals to show evidence that the newer generation of soccer stars still found the iconic celebration trendy and mainstream.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s SIUU celebration turns 10 years old
All these homages to the celebration are noteworthy but this current one at the top of an active volcano should be at the top. Cristiano Ronaldo should acknowledge the daring effort of his superfan to motivate more fans to push the envelope with the celebration.
The effort on top of the volcano is the cherry on the cake for the celebration that completes 10 years in 2023. Ronaldo introduced the celebration back in August 2013 while playing for Real Madrid. The celebration was introduced against Chelsea in the USA in a pre-season friendly when the Madrid club was managed by José Mourinho.

Cristiano Ronaldo: “I started to say ‘SIUUU’ when I was at Madrid. We played against Chelsea. I scored a goal & I did the ‘SIUUU’ for the first time. I don’t know where it came from. The best things happen naturally.” pic.twitter.com/kxDsGo2HPB
