Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo has again found himself being a victim of trolls after bagging another achievement. Ronaldo is the most searched soccer player on Google in 2023. He has been searched around 17.4 million times monthly.
However, trolls could not watch Ronaldo take home another achievement and started giving excuses for which Ronaldo is searched. They made fun of the Portuguese star on the internet. Many said he is searched so much on Google because people think he is missing. This is a jibe at his departure from mainstream European soccer to Saudi Arabia.
Many trolls made fun of his move to the Saudi Pro League. They said that people search for his name to know if his move is real and that they are not dreaming that something like this happened. As explained by Oh My Goal on YouTube, one of the trolls also said this is “the only way he can catch up to Messi.”
With Lionel Messi winning the FIFA Best award along with the FIFA World Cup 2022 and Ronaldo being trophyless for a while, trolls hit a low blow. They said that Ronaldo is winning the Google d’Or with his ‘most searched soccer player’ achievement. He defeated the likes of Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe to become the most searched soccer player.
However, we can be assured that Ronaldo will not let something like this get to him. He has faced such people throughout his career. With how his career has panned out, it is expected that he will continue to do what he does his best, play soccer and score goals.

The most-followed account on Twitter is former US President Barack Obama with over 133 million followers.
The next athlete on the list comes in the 20th spot. It is Neymar with around 62 million followers. However, on this platform, there is no competition between Ronaldo and Messi because the Paris Saint-Germain star is not on Twitter.
