Vinicius Junior has been in remarkable form this season for his club Real Madrid and also featured for the Brazil national team at the World Cup in Qatar. The forward continued his form in the recent UEFA Champions League match against Liverpool after Real Madrid drowned the English club after going 2 nil down inside 14 minutes to make a comeback and win the game 5-2.
Vinicius Junior started the brilliant comeback in the 21st minute after a brilliant finish to go past Alisson Becker. He scored an equalizer in the 36th minute due to an error by Alisson as both teams were marred with goalkeeper errors. Vinicius further frustrated the fans at Anfield after he dropped the celebration of his idol Cristiano Ronaldo in front of the Liverpool fans to drown them in misery after a rout of their team.

The celebration has garnered praise for the young forward from NFL legend Tom Brady as he liked the post of the player on Instagram. Brady is regarded as one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history and was pivotal to the success of his former team New England Patriots. Brady holds a number of records in the sport including the most Super Bowl Most Valuable Player (MVP) record.
Vini Jr. was appreciated by yet another superstar as Erling Haaland also liked the post of the forward in which he had dropped an image of his ruthless celebration at Anfield. The appreciation coming from one of your counterparts is always a thing to admire as both the young forwards are primed to be among the best of the next generation.
Vinicius Junior is a huge Cristiano Ronaldo fan since childhood
Vinicius dropping the Ronaldo celebration in front of a packed Anfield wasn’t met with surprise as the youngster has been reported to be a huge fan of Cristiano Ronaldo since his childhood and has tried to emulate him throughout his career so far. It has been believed that one of the biggest reasons for Vinicius coming to Real Madrid was because of his idol Cristiano Ronaldo.

But the Brazilian star never had his chance to play with his idol as Ronaldo left for Juventus in the summer of 2018 and even though Vinicius signed for Real Madrid in 2017, he didn’t arrive at the Bernabeu until the summer of 2018. Playing with his idol might have been a dream left unfulfilled but the way Vinicius has been going for Real Madrid, he is on his way to emulating the legacy of his idol.
