It seems that Ali Al-Bulayhi, the Al-Hilal FC defender is against the GOATs. He is well known for getting in Lionel Messi’s face after Saudi Arabia’s unexpected 2-1 victory over Argentina in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. A year later, Al-Bulayhi and Cristiano Ronaldo squared off as Al-Hilal defeated Al Nassr in this week’s Saudi Pro League match.
Otavio, an Al Nassr midfielder, was given his first yellow card in the December 1st match in the 40th minute after a tackle on Al-Bulayhi. Al-Bulayhi remained on the ground after being fouled for more time than Al Nassr skipper Ronaldo, thought was proper.

Ronaldo reacted funnily, making gestures towards the referees of an actor, claiming the defender was acting. Many fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to react to Ronaldo and the “unknown guy” as they were not very familiar with the Saudi defender. One fan wrote, “Unknown guy tryna beef with Ronaldo” after watching the clip.
It remains to be seen what happens next with Ronaldo and his side as they were beaten poorly against their arch-rivals Al Hilal FC in the Saudi Pro League. Al Nassr and Cristiano Ronaldo will have to get up and running if they are to achieve any form of success this 2023-24 season.

The standout striker for Al Hilal, Alexandro Mitrovic, scored an incredible hat trick against them to increase the two teams’ point differential from 4 to 7. Al Hilal FC was playing without their star Neymar Jr. who has been out with a long-term knee injury (ACL), yet they managed to pull off this upset on their bitter rivals was somewhat commendable according to soccer fans.
What happens to Al-Nassr FC next in the ongoing season is still unknown because they have a lot of work ahead of them to catch the league leaders. With the current performances, they won’t go as far as they would have hoped for during the start of this 2023-24 season.
