Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the biggest superstars in the sporting industry and is followed by fans wherever he goes but recently the Portuguese star was met with some mocking by fans in the Saudi Pro League which led to his frustration.
Ronaldo’s team Al-Nassr went head to head against their bitter rivals Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League match recently which Al-Ittihad won 1-0 and their fans mocked Ronaldo with chants of “Messi, Messi” at the top of their voices sending the former Real Madrid forward into frustration.
Ronaldo was seen kicking a bottle in fury after the loss before heading into the tunnel visibly angry at his team’s performance. Even though Ronaldo has moved away from top-flight soccer, his passion for winning and the angst upon losing is still present in heaps.

Cristiano wouldn’t have surely liked the fans chanting his biggest rival Lionel Messi’s name at him after the loss rubbing salt into his wounds. Messi recently won the World Cup which according to certain fans and pundits ended the GOAT debate between the two legends of the game.
Ronaldo’s move out of Europe was seen as his admittance of aging and not being the same player he once was while Messi continues to play for French Champions Paris Saint Germain after winning the World Cup with Argentina.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr removed from top spot by Al-Ittihad
The defeat against Al-Ittihad meant that the Riyadh-based Al-Nassr were no longer the frontrunners in the SPL table as the Jeddah-based club replaced them with a 1-point lead at the top.
The game was pretty close for the whole of 90 minutes with both sides creating chances but failing to convert them but it was Al-Ittihad’s Brazilian attacker Romarinho who broke the deadlock in the 80th minute to put his side into the lead and the goal proved to be the match winner.

Earlier in the game, a couple of close chances were created by Cristiano Ronaldo for his teammates but they failed to convert them sending the Portuguese into utter frustration. This defeat was Al-Nassr’s second against Nuno Espirito Santo-led Al-Ittihad as they previously were knocked out of the Saudi Super Cup semi-final by the same team.
Cristiano Ronaldo would want his team to step up as Al-Nassr moves into the final stages and the business end of the season sitting in the 2nd spot with a narrow 1-point gap and their Portuguese talisman would want them to work hard for better results.
