Cristiano Ronaldo is known for his clutch performances in crucial times for his team. The Portuguese once again produced a clutch moment as he inspired his team to a comeback victory. But what caught the eye of fans was something else that Cristiano did.
Cristiano gave his penalty to Brazilian teammate, Anderson Talisca when Al-Nassr played Abha in the Saudi Pro League. Ronaldo had earlier equalized the scores with a stunning 35-yard free kick and could have scored a brace, but he gave his penalty to Talisca.
Talking about the incident, Talisca stated that he respected Ronaldo’s gesture as he showed him respect. He added that they were all part of one family at Al-Nassr.

He said: “Cristiano Ronaldo is a great and very respected player. He showed me respect when he gave me the penalty kick. We are one family.”
Talisca further said that Ronaldo acted as a leader as he invited Talisca to take the penalty. The Brazilian was coming back from an injury and the 5-time Ballon d’Or boosted his confidence by giving him the penalty.
Talisca said: “Cristiano offered me the penalty to boost my confidence after my injury. He is a leader and the victory is very important.”
This is not the first time Ronaldo has acted like a leader in his team, in fact, he has done the same previously as well. Let’s take a look at another incident when Cristiano showcased his leadership qualities.
Cristiano Ronaldo known for being a generous leader
Cristiano Ronaldo previously showed how good a leader he was even though some people call him selfish. It was many years back during his Real Madrid days when the Portuguese let go of the chance to score a hat trick and gave his penalty to Karim Benzema.

In the game against Deportivo Alaves in 2018, Ronaldo had already scored a brace when Real won a penalty in the 88th minute. He could have scored a hat trick but chose to give the penalty to Karim Benzema who had been suffering from a goal drought before the game.
Benzema had set up Ronaldo with a beautiful flick earlier in the same match, and Ronaldo didn’t leave the opportunity to remind the fans how good the French striker’s assist was during his celebration.
It is quite brilliant to watch the Portuguese lead his new club Al-Nassr from the front, just like he has been doing throughout his career. Some people might call him selfish, but Cristiano has always showcased his leadership qualities and will keep on doing so.
