Hazard was immediately sent off the pitch by the match official for his actions. However, while the ball boy, Charlie Morgan, became viral due to the incident, he has now made quite a name for himself. According to reports, Morgan is now the owner of the company Au Vodka and has raked in millions of dollars since that incident.
Eden Hazard apologized to Charlie Morgan for kicking him
Following Eden Hazard kicking Charlie Morgan in 2013, he issued an apology to the ball boy. Hazard admitted that it was his mistake and he regretted his actions. The ex-Chelsea star, “The boy put his whole body onto the ball and I was just trying to kick the ball and I think I kicked the ball and not the boy.” He further revealed that he apologized to Morgan when he came to the dressing room after the match.

Chelsea‘s then-manager Rafael Benitez also spoke about the incident after the match. Benitez admitted that Hazard acted out of frustration and that he had apologized to the ball boy. However, Benitez also pointed out that it was also Morgan’s fault as he was trying to waste time. Nevertheless, the ex-Belgian international also received a three-match ban for his actions.

During an interview once, Morgan talked about his life’s journey so far. Talking about the incident with Hazard, Morgan said, “The ballboy incident was a crazy night.” He further admitted that the incident will be remembered for some time in the future. Lastly, Morgan also revealed that a huge reason behind his founding Au Vodka was that he didn’t want to be remembered as just the ball boy who got kicked by Eden Hazard.
