Rafael Leao is off to a flying start for AC Milan this season, scoring three goals and four assists in 10 matches. The Portuguese has been the star forward in the attacking line of the Italian club.
Leao joined AC Milan from French side LOSC Lille back in 2019. In four seasons, the winger has played 173 matches for the Italian club, scoring 46 goals and 40 assists.
Leao’s form for AC Milan in the past few seasons, especially in Serie A, attracted interest from Premier League heavyweights like Arsenal and Chelsea. However, the winger chose to stay with the Italian club by announcing a contract extension in the summer.

The new contract binds the winger to the club till 2028. The new contract has a release clause of $186 Million. As per the new deal, the winger earns $131,000 per week, which amounts to $6.8 Million per season.
The winger is still heavily underpaid by AC Milan, which might open the door for Premier League and La Liga giants to secure him in the future, but the Italian club will command a huge transfer fee for the 24-year-old due to this contract extension.
