Nusrat Gokce, more commonly known as Salt Bae is one of the most followed celebrities in the world. The chef is known for his unique style of sprinkling salt and hence the name. The celebrity chef was caught in a controversy during the World Cup final in Qatar.
Nusrat recently replied to the allegations against him on social media. This cooled down the supporters a bit and now the chef has a stalwart behind his back giving him support. It is none other than NFL legend, Tom Brady.
The quarterback recently uploaded a story on his Instagram which featured Salt Bae. The 6 time Super Bowl winner reposted the story of the celebrity chef and appreciated his look. Brady wrote: “Great Look”.
This would have come as a relief for Salt Bae who has been lashed at ever since the World Cup. He recently talked about the incident and clarified it by saying he felt at home as he loved Argentina. Salt Bae further stated that he didn’t feel like a stranger and it was a special moment for him.
He said: “It was a combination of my love of Argentina and my excitement, I didn’t feel a stranger. It was a special moment.”
The 39-year-old further stated that he would never step foot on a pitch after what happened in Qatar. He also said that many of the players had visited his restaurant which is why he knew them so well.
He said, “I went to support them. Many of [the team] have come to the restaurant….I would never, ever step on the World Cup pitch again.” It seems like the fans seem to have cooled down towards the celebrity chef. But let’s find out what he did which led to such outrage against him.

Salt Bae was one of the most trending topics on social media after Argentina won the FIFA World Cup 2022. This was due to his antics after the Lionel Messi side clinched the penalty shootouts against France. The celebrity chef was seen grabbing the trophy and taking selfies with it.

This has made certain Argentinian players uncomfortable including Lionel Messi. The visuals seemed like the chef was overshadowing the achievements of the Argentinian players.
This enraged the fans on social media who lashed out at Salt Bae for his actions. But it seems like he has come out with his side of the story now. Let’s hope the fans and the Argentinian players forgive him after this clarification.
