It has only been hours since the news broke out about the Premier League charging Manchester City for a breach of Financial rules the punishment of which could be a deduction of points for the reigning English champions and even an expulsion from the Premier League. The fans have already started rumors of players and City manager Pep Guardiola leaving Manchester City.

The most bizarre and unexpected of these rumors is of Pep Guardiola to Chelsea as Blues fans have started the trend on Twitter after the announcement was made. Chelsea has been in dreadful form this season managing to win only three games in the last three months.

Chelsea was going through a transition phase coming into the season with their longtime owner Roman Abramovich putting the club on sale which was then brought by American businessman, Todd Boehly. The Blues have made a flurry of signings in the past few months and bought a new manager, Graham Potter, but the ship doesn’t seem to be on its course yet.

Manchester City was shocked earlier today as the English Champions were handed several charges by the Premier League regarding their finances ever since the takeover from Abu Dhabi United Group in 2008. If Manchester City cannot prove their innocence in front of the commission set by the Premier League, they will have to face harsh punishment and can even be relegated from the League.

Considering the amount of crisis Chelsea are in right now and the number of signings they have made and yet the new manager, Graham Potter isn’t able to click things, Chelsea fans are hoping for a managerial change and would really want Pep at the Stamford Bridge if the Spaniard decides to leave City following the charges leveled against them.

Fans want to see Pep Guardiola at Chelsea as Manchester City in deep trouble

We went to Twitter to take a look at how fans reacted to the rumors of Pep to Chelsea:

A fan who seemed to support the Blues talked about the trend and admitted that Chelsea was acting shameless as this rumor comes following a January transfer window where Chelsea made a record number of signings spending more money than the whole of several other European Leagues.

They wrote: “‘Pep to Chelsea’ is trending already, bruh we’re shameless 😂😂”

We noticed another Chelsea fan who joked about the rumor and said that Chelsea sold their shame along with Jorginho. The Blues sold one of their best players of the recent past, Jorginho to their city rivals and league leader Arsenal on the deadline day, which shocked both fanbases.

They wrote: “We sold our shame along with jorginho 😂😂”

We spotted another fan who believed that even if Pep Guardiola decides to leave City after the allegations, he won’t come to Chelsea or even stay in the Premier League and will choose a different League. There were certain rumors doing rounds last summer that Pep has his eyes set on the Brazillian National Team Head Coach role after his tenure at City ends.

They wrote: “I don’t think it will ever happen cuz I don’t see Pep leaving City then later join Chelsea. He’s prefer to go to a different league entirely.”

It will be interesting to see how Manchester City responds in front of the Commission, what the result will be, and what Pep Guardiola’s next destination would be if he decided to quit his role at City if the charges are proven.
