Erling Haaland is one of the most unconventional soccer players the world has ever seen. Be it in terms of his approach play, his way of running, or the way he throws his body to any delivery inside the box, is borderline absurd. Another of his habits gets added to the list, as he has been spotted eating a raw carrot more than once now.
A post from Out of Context Football from yesterday had the fans rolling over in laughter. The post shows four different occasions of the Norwegian forward feasting on a carrot in his car. Don’t take the angle wrong, a raw carrot is very good for our health. But we just don’t expect a defense terrorizing forward casually having carrots on the go and doesn’t care that people are taking his pictures.
Fans on social media, especially Twitter, like to throw a bit of fun and sarcasm into such hilarious posts. Most of the comments said that Haaland has finally revealed the secret of his amazing performances. One Arsenal fan joined the conversation and said that Eddie Nketiah, who missed a couple of big chances against City in a crucial match, needs to be on carrots as well.

That’s very Norwegian. Kids have pieces of carrot or cucumber as snacks since they’re very young

One fan left a hilarious comment, saying, “Carrots are top-tier snacks only fit for gods,” referring to Haaland as one. A few fans made funny edits to the cartoon character Tom and added Haalad’s hair and a carrot. Fans had a field day in the comment section without any doubts.
Supernatural eating habits of Erling Haaland
As of now, we know that carrots are the secret behind the Manchester City talisman’s unreal stats. Starting from the performances for RB Salzburg in the Champions League nights, he became a goalscoring monster in Germany. 62 goals in just 67 matches are unheard of. Haaland became even more dangerous with his Manchester City move, scoring 32 goals in just 26 all-competition matches.
His carrot feasting has been backed by a few Norwegians. They stated that it is very common for them to munch on cucumbers and carrots as snacks. However, our 22-year-old City man doesn’t stop with carrots at all. There are more.
Haaland’s national teammate Joshua King talked about his eating habits on ‘Cycling GK’, a show hosted by former Manchester United and England goalie Ben Foster. King said, “He’s just a freak. I’ve never ever seen anyone eat as much as he does.” The Fenerbache man dropped a bomb when added, “He (Haaland) eats like a bear,” on the show.
The man himself talked about the importance of him eating particular organs of cows rather than the meat, in his ‘Haaland: The Big Decision’ documentary. Haaland said, “People say meat is bad for you but which? The meat you get at McDonald’s? Or the local cow eating grass right over there? I eat the heart and the liver,” stating that he knows what his body requires and he doesn’t really care what other people think.
All in all, we as fans have one understanding that doesn’t matter how weird or funny Erling’s eating habits seem, he knows what’s he doing. And the results are overwhelmingly getting reflected on the pitch.
