Real Madrid has always been associated with big names, the ‘Galacticos’ as their fans like to call them. The club has been home to various superstars over the years while also creating superstars of their own. One of the biggest names on the latter list is the Brazilian sensation, Vinicius Jr.

Born in São Gonçalo, Vinicius made a name for himself playing for Flamengo. He caught the eyes of scouts all over Europe due to his blistering pace and quick feet. Vinicius was quickly compared to another Brazilian legend Neymar Jr. which is no mean feat for a 16-year-old.

European giants Madrid signed the player in a record transfer deal of around $49 million in 2017. He didn’t play for the club for a couple of years until he was 18 and made his debut in the 2018/19 season. The Brazilian has taken Europe by storm ever since, destroying many defenders and creating a big name for himself. This has resulted in him bagging a huge contract with European champions, Real Madrid.

How much is Vinicius Jr’s salary per week?

When your performances on the field are good, your value off the field rises naturally. The same has happened for Vinicius who has climbed the ladder over the years at Madrid. He currently earns around $290,000/ week at the Spanish club but it is expected to rise.

He has been one of the top players in Europe and this has increased his value at the club. He is expected to earn around $350,000-$400,000 in his new contract.

Vinicius Jr.’s Real Madrid contract

Real was quick to recognize the potential of Vinicius back in his teenage days and fast-tracked his signing. The club made a record transfer for a Brazilian teenager while also signing Rodrygo after a couple of years.

Real was keen to sign Vinicius on a long-term transfer to unleash his full potential. They did so by signing him on a lengthy 6-year contract. The club put a release clause of $1 billion on him which helped them to protect their asset from other clubs who would love to have him.

Vinicius Jr.’s endorsements and other sources of income

Even though soccer players earn a lot through their wages, they also like to indulge in other businesses to increase their net worth. Vinicius would have surely taken his lessons from the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo who is one of the richest soccer players.

According to various sources, Vinicius’s net worth is estimated to be around $20 million. Much of this is due to his lucrative contract at Real but he also has signed various endorsements recently.
