Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of the most decorated soccer stars on the planet. At 41, the Swede is also one of the oldest active professional soccer players. Scoring over 500 goals over a career spanning more than two decades, Zlatan is surely one of the best forwards of his generation. He is also the all-time top scorer for his country, Sweden.
Zlatan is beloved in his country, Sweden. In fact, a statue of Ibrahimovic was unveiled in his hometown of Malmo, right outside Malmo’s stadium in Sweden. Zlatan loves to refer to himself in the third person. In 2016, a movie based on him, titled “Becoming Zlatan” was released. Zlatan is in a long-time relationship with Swedish businesswoman Helena Seger. He is one of the most followed athletes on Instagram, with 57 million followers.
Zlatan’s playing style is broadly characterized by acrobatic displays, long-range strikes filled with power, and an impeccable game sense. Playing for some of Europe’s top soccer teams, Zlatan has earned quite a fair bit. Here’s a glimpse at the Swede’s fortune:
Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s salary
Even at 41, the 6’5″ forward wishes to continue playing the sport that he loves. It is primarily due to his age that most clubs cannot afford to employ him on the huge paychecks that the Swede has seen at sides like PSG and Manchester United.
During his brief cameo at Old Trafford, Zlatan reportedly earned $27 million, back in 2017. Since then, he has been on the move as he went on to play for MLS side LA Galaxy for a while. Subsequently, the Swedish soccer star rejoined AC Milan in 2020. At the time, his reported earnings were $7.4 million.

However, in the latest deal that has been agreed between Zlatan’s representatives and AC Milan, the 41-year-old is set to take a major pay cut to remain at the club. Zlatan will be reportedly earning $2.6 million a year. When broken down, that figure reportedly comes out to $50,000 a week.
Zlatan’s career earnings revealed
Zlatan started playing soccer professionally in 1999 with Malmo FC. Since then, he has played for 8 soccer clubs other than Malmo. These include Ajax, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus, AC Milan, PSG, Manchester United, and LA Galaxy.

Unfortunately, the income statistics of the Swede before 2010 are not available. However, since 2010, after playing for AC Milan, PSG, Manchester United, LA Galaxy, and AC Milan again, his career earnings come out to be a reported $127 million. Factoring in the Swede’s 11 years worth of professional soccer career, that figure could rise higher.
Which brands does Zlatan endorse?
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of the few athletes who has been in endorsement campaigns for industry rivals Nike and Adidas. Zlatan officially partnered with Nike between 2004 and 2014. During his time at Manchester United, the Red Devils’ kit supplier, Adidas, also partnered with Zlatan.

In 2019, Ibrahimovic reportedly acquired a 23.5% stake in Swedish soccer club Hammarby IF.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s real estate portfolio
As is quite noticeable by now, the Swede has deep pockets. Ibrahimovic’s real estate investments do justice to his resources. Zlatan reportedly has homes in 5 cities across 2 continents.
The 41-year-old has luxurious mansions in Los Angeles, Paris, Manchester, Milan, and Malmo. The properties in the first four cities, one would assume, had probably been bought during his time with each of the four clubs representing those cities. As for Malmo, that’s his hometown in Sweden.

It was also recently reported that the striker purchased a huge tract of forest land near the Swedish-Norwegian border.
What is Zlatan’s net worth?
In 2017, Zlatan was reportedly pronounced the third richest soccer player behind only Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
As per multiple accounts, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is estimated to be worth $190 million. Even at 41, the Swede is showing no signs of slowing down or hanging up his boots.
One can only imagine that as long as he continues to play, his net worth will only appreciate. In 2020, right after becoming the first man to score 50 goals for both Milan clubs, he compared himself to Benjamin Button.
