Oscar was born in Oslo, Norway, in 2003. He began his journey to become a professional soccer athlete from his youth club Lyn. In 2013, at the age of 10, he began his links to the Portuguese club, FC Porto. Oscar gathered such links by performing well at a youth tournament in Algarve.

After such fantastic performances, FC Porto reached out to Oscar’s mother, Turid Gunnes, to convince the kid to join the Portuguese club. In 2015, Gunnes shifted to Portugal on her own, to enroll her son in the Portuguese Football Federation.
After holding two years of practice to enroll her son. In 2017 her application was rejected by FIFA, and they were sent back to Norway. After returning to his homeland, Oscar Bobb went on to sign for the Oslo-based club, Vålerenga.
In 2019, Bobb secured a move to Manchester City, wherein the same year after joining, The Guardian, named him the best young talent at Manchester City of his age group. Consistent performances helped Oscar Bobb relish the opportunity and earn the first-team call-up in the 2023/24 season.
