Kylian Mbappe at 23 is one of the best soccer players on the planet earth. The PSG man possesses an insane amount of goal-scoring record and bags of skill and flair to go with them.
Paul Pogba, Kante, and Karim Benzema’s injuries before the World Cup put a huge dent in France’s trophy retention. Pundits and fans wrote them off even before the tournament started. Mbappe and co, however, had other plans. They cruised through the group stages finishing first in their group. After defeating Poland and England in the knockout stages, they are favorites to land a spot in the final.
Mbappe is the top goal scorer of this World Cup with 5 goals. He won the 2018 World Cup with France. Mbappe also won Young Player of the Tournament in the Russia World Cup. Following the eliminations of Brazil, England, Portugal, and Spain France is considered the new tournament favorite.
Kylian Mbappe replaces Cristiano Ronaldo posters with pictures of himself
Kylian Mbappe is a huge Cristiano Ronaldo fan. He once posted a picture of himself, sitting in his room. The room’s walls were covered with posters of his idol Cristiano Ronaldo. In Euro 2021 he also posted a picture of him and Ronaldo, referring to him as “Idol”.

Mbappe played in the 2018 World Cup for the French team, whereas Ronaldo’s Portugal team was present as well. Portugal lost the round of 16 ties before completing another record transfer move to Juventus worth $121 million. Despite moving clubs in the summer, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner finished as the highest scorer of Real Madrid in 2018.
2018 was one of the best years in Mbappe’s career. He won the World Cup as a teenager and the French League with PSG. He posted another picture of that room in 2019. This time it was about his year highlights, replacing Cristiano Ronaldo pictures. Kissing the precious World Cup trophy and celebrating the French League with Neymar were the most iconic ones.

Many have suggested this act of Mbappe as arrogant and disrespectful towards the great Portuguese. Mbappe however, commented with a “crown” and “goat” (greatest of all time) emoji on Ronaldo’s emotional post following Portugal’s exit from the World Cup, which says a lot about his idol’s respect in his mind.
