Josep Guardiola Sala also popularly known as Pep Guardiola, former Spanish, professional footballer and current manager of the Premier league team Manchester City. He was born on 18 January 1971 in Saintpedor Spain.

Pep started his youth career in La Masia, the youth academy of FC Barcelona. He made his senior Barcelona team debut in 1990 and stayed there till 2001. He won the La Liga and the UEFA champions league with the Catalans.

After Barcelona, he moved to the Italian league with stints at Brescia and Roma, where he ended his playing career. 

Pep has surpassed his legacy as a player, with his glorious managerial career so far. He is one of the most successful managers of all and has coached teams like FC Barcelona, FC Bayern and Manchester City.

He started his official managerial career as the coach of Barcelona B in 2007. After just a year in 2008, he got the duties of managing the first team. In his first season coaching Barcelona, Pep managed to win all six trophies and created history.

He left Barcelona to join Bayern Munich in 2013 where he won multiple Bundesliga titles. After his time in Munich, he was appointed as the Manchester City manager in 2016. He has won four Premier League titles, and the FA Cup and also reached the Champions League finals with City.
