Novak Djokovic was at his comical best when holding the golf club at the Ryders Cup. He made sure his swing and audience interaction was on point. The 44th Ryders Cup will start on 29th September and will host a celebrity event in the build-up of the event. Djokovic had last played at the Davis Cup, where he won crucial points for Serbia.
The Serbian explained that he had been practicing golf rigorously in the past 10 days. He was shocked when he got the invite and was initially doubtful about his participation. Djokovic said, “I thought I cannot embarrass myself, cannot hit someone in the head because we don’t want that. I have no insurance.” He also revealed that he got to play so much golf for the first time in six years.

The 24-time grand slam winner said that he will be staying for a few more days to watch the event. Djokovic has withdrawn from the Shanghai Masters 1000 and will most probably make a return at the Paris Masters 1000. The 36-year-old deserves a vacation, as he has already played 51 matches this year. Djokovic chose the right event to cool himself down off the tour.
