Nick Kyrgios is more or less the face of controversial news in the tennis world so it doesn’t come off as a surprise to witness his name canvassed with a war of words.
The Australian tennis star on multiple occasions has been stormed with carrying onto himself a ‘disgraceful’ and ‘disrespectful’ attitude on-court which wildly goes against the gentlemanly persona expected from players competing.
The infamous ‘Bad Boy of Tennis’ acknowledged his on-court problematic conduct featuring in Netflix’s latest tennis documentary Break Point, but meanwhile has also caused serious concerns following troubles in his love life.
Kyrgios’ romantic session with ex-girlfriend Chiara Passari swarmed through media headlines back in June 2020 when the Aussie returned to his hometown Canberra amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to reports, the duo started dating in the summer of 2020 and the exact time of their pairing is not confirmed. Their relationship kicked off when Nick ended his dating cycle with fellow tennis player Anna Kalinskaya.
The pair’s romance however took a massive turn in February 2021 when they released several bitter text messages exchanged between them on Instagram saying ‘you disgust me’ and started shooting cheating accusations at each other publicly.
When did Nick Kyrgios and Chiara Passari break up?
Nick Kyrgios’ on-and-off relationship with Chiara Passari saw extreme ends of fluctuation, from intimate vacations to cryptic texts. Their relationship lasted for more than a year and ended with Kyrgios slamming her with cheeky remarks.
The duo ultimately called it quits for good when one night in October 2021 they were quarantined after returning from a vacation together and police were called to The Playford Hotel in Adelaide following a complaint of a loud lover’s quarrel.
Further, in connection to the complaint made by his ex in December 2021, Nick was accused of grabbing Chiara and charged with ‘common assault’ which carries a sentence of 2 years if found guilty. According to the latest updates, the charges which were filed against Nick have officially been discarded despite his guilty plea in the Canberra court.

Regardless, the Aussie seems to be in a good and healthy relationship now. Kyrgios has been dating Costeen Hatzi for more than a year and is deeply in love with her.
In an Instagram post made by the 2022 Wimbledon runner-up earlier this year, he even disclosed his intentions of wanting to marry his girlfriend Costeen and having babies with her.
