Tennis superstar Serena Williams is happily married to Alexis Ohanian. The couple has two daughters, Olympia, and the recently born Adira River Ohanian on August 22. They are quite the power couple, with Serena being a tennis legend and Ohanian being the co-founder of Reddit. But as with all marriages, it isn’t always smooth sailing for them.
The couple quickly caught the fancy of tennis fans when they started dating. After the birth of the eldest Olympia, Alexis would accompany their kid to Serena’s matches. It was hard not to be obsessed with this family.
Serena and Alexis are the picture-perfect couple. But like every relationship, they have also hit bumps along the way and learned from them.

Williams was answering a series of questions for Bumble when the question of marriage came up. “Marriage is not bliss,” said Serena (via Grazia Magazine). She also added, “Heartbreak is a part of life, whether it be a loved one, a boyfriend, or an animal. But time heals all wounds.”
However, she did go on to add that marriage can be bliss, if one works for it. Besides marriage, Serena also revealed her dealbreaker in a relationship- loyalty. Or the lack of loyalty to your partner.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion also had much to say about love and heartbreak. Williams stated that love is a wonderful feeling and if one can experience it, it is precious. As for heartbreak, Serena reiterated that time heals all wounds.
Alexis Ohanian and Serena Williams have been together for a long time. They have grown as a couple and as individuals too. Williams served on the tennis court, now she is serving relationship goals.
Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian’s relationship timeline
The duo met in 2015 but it was not a meet-cute moment from the movies. Williams and Ohanian had a long way to go to get to where they are right now.
The pair ran into each other at the Cavalieri Hotel in Rome, in May 2015. Serena was there to participate in the Italian Open, while Ohanian was there to speak at a conference.
One morning, Ohanian was sitting by the pool, at the table right adjacent to one Serena and her friends were using. Williams and her friends tried to get Alexis to leave since they wanted to use that table too. Williams’ first words to her now-husband were, “No, we just don’t want you sitting there. We’re going to use that table.”
However, they hit it off after the initial bump. Serena invited Ohanian to her match, and he accepted her invitation even though he had no respect for it. Alexis eventually proposed to Serena at the same table in 2016.

The couple had their first child Olympia in 2017. The couple finally tied the knot in 2019 after dating for four years. On August 22, 2023, the couple welcomed their second daughter Adira River. It is not hard to see why fans are obsessed with the Williams-Ohanian family.
