Rafael Nadal beat Daniil Medvedev 6-3, 6-3 to reach the final of the ATP Mexico Open. Medvedev was unable to avenge his loss to Nadal in the Australian Open final, where the Spaniard claimed a record-breaking 21st Grand Slam singles title.
Nadal pushed his perfect 2022 record to 14-0 to reach the finals where he will face Cameron Norrie.
He is a fan favourite of winning the Mexican Open title. He has won the same title in 2005, 2013 and 2020.
Cameron Norrie reached back-to-back ATP Tour finals, defeating world No. 4 Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-4, 6-4 at the Mexican Open.
The 26-year-old British no.1 won the semi-final contest in 1 hour and 18 minutes. Norrie will be playing for his 4th ATP Tour title on Sunday.
