Christopher Eubanks is making his first appearance at Wimbledon in over four attempts. Eubanks reached the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam for the first time after defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas in the fourth round. The 27-year-old has been serving well so far and will be facing Daniil Medvedev in the semifinal. The 6’7 American has been firing winners from his one-handed backhand and a powerful forehand.
Eubanks received support from Naomi Osaka as she put up an Instagram story of his fourth-round match. Osaka’s excitement was well heard in the video as the match ended with a thundering forehand from Eubanks.
He is friends with Coco Gauff and Osaka on tour and has said that both of them have motivated him to play on tour. Gauff was also watching the match with her parents on court no. 2 from the players’ box.
Osaka mentioned in her caption that even she got scared as Eubanks was shanking at the end of the match. She wished him the best for the quarterfinals as he will need all the strength from his loyal supporters. Osaka has been on maternity leave since the start of the year.

The 25-year-old had given birth to a baby girl a few days ago. She has been in a relationship with rapper Cordae since 2019. Cordae announced in one of his shows that Osaka had become a mother. She will be making her return at the 2024 Australian Open and will represent Japan at the Olympic Games too.
