Andy Murray has had a severe dip in form ever since he had to miss three major grand slam tournaments since he went through the major hip injury which led to the fall in his ranking all the way to 839.
After the nasty hip injury, Andry Murray was forced to go through a couple of hip surgeries in order to get back in shape. Following the hip surgeries in 2018, we saw a dip in the form of the Former World Number one as he failed to reach the finals of any grand slam tournament ever since then.
Things were looking gloomy for Andy Murray since the beginning of the 2018 season as he was severely pushed back in his ATP rankings.
Andy Murray Gets a Major Boost in the Rankings
Murray has had a good start to the 2022 Professional Tennis Season. He started out with the Melbourne Summer Set Tournament for which he ended up in the finals, however, he failed to win and ended up as the runners up in the tournament.
He had a mixed performance in the Australian Open 2022 wherein he easily aced the first round but eventually faced a shocker exit after a loss in Round 2 of the tournament. He recently went on to announce that he won’t be participating in the Rolland Garros in order to prepare better and stay fit for Wimbledon.
The Scottish Tennis star has something to look forward to after he is in the Top 100 Rankings of the ATP for the first time in almost four years.
For someone who has had his rankings continuously been facing a dip due to a string of injuries, this news would come as a significant boost in confidence for Andy Murray.
