Blessings have indeed been showered upon tennis legend Serena Williams, who has achieved various milestones in her career of two decades and provided gratuitous encouragement to budding athletes.
Unfortunately for fans and the global tennis community alike, Serena took a step back from tennis last year when she announced her retirement and made her set of final appearances at the US Open 2022. Despite her ‘evolving away’ from tennis, the star has still managed to gain the attention of legendary comedian Chris Rock.
American comedian Chris Rock recently performed a fiery live stand-up comedy on Netflix titled “Chris Rock: Selective Outrage” and took his viewers on a ride through his journey of intercepting various things he has experienced, which included him expressing his thoughts on how people crave for attention without putting in the required efforts.
Mocking wannabe attention seekers about the same, Chris then supported his thoughts in connection to the hard work poured in by American tennis icon Serena Williams and her sheer will to rise to the top which has now enabled her to enjoy every bit of attention that now comes with it.
“Easiest way to get attention, to be excellent. That’s right. Like Serena Williams, the greatest tennis player to ever play the game. Absolutely excellent, being excellent will get you attention. But it’s hard being excellent. You’ve got to get up in the morning. you’ve got to work out, you’ve got to practice,” added Chris Rock.

Rock’s latest stand-up however did not revolve around topics covering Serena’s legacy as a sarcastic example of attention seeking only but also highlighted numerous other issues which reportedly have started to incite controversy.
Chris Rock’s latest Netflix special stirs controversy
Renowned Hollywood actor and comedian Chris Rock’s most recently uploaded live stand-up comedy session on Netflix has started turning heads in his direction, questioning the n-number of topics the star covered during the timeline of his show, including the famous Will Smith fiasco that went down under last year.
Dedicating the last 10 minutes of his show to his feeling after being slapped by Will Smith and said that he’s “still hurt” by the events that occurred.
The star also talked about struggles faced by acclaimed Hollywood actress Meghan Markle and mocked her and her in-laws, the royal family of the United Kingdom, for issues revolving around racism. His Netflix special has become an instant hit with many people eager to hear his take on the Oscar controversy.
