Russian star Andrey Rublev is a very talented tennis player. 2023 was a memorable year for Rublev in more ways than one. He won his first Masters 1000 title, and more importantly, he launched his own clothing brand for a good cause. On the whole, Andrey has tasted success on tour as a player and as an entrepreneur off the court.
Apparel giant Nike has sponsored Rublev since he was a young player making his way up the rankings ladder. However, earlier this year, he decided to swap the swoosh for a pair of angel wings—the brand logo of his business venture, Rublo.
When Andrey announced the details of Rublo, he stated that the clothing brand represented more than just the clothes. The Rublo website states that its main purpose is to “drive awareness around equality and kindness” with the hope of “making our world a better place.”

Andrey shared a glimpse of the Rublo logo at the start of the year. It is very obvious that this venture and what it represents are close to Andrey’s heart. Last year, Rublev was very vocal about advocating for peace and left messages on camera lenses too.
Andrey finally announced the launch of Rublo earlier this month on his social media handles. He made a heartwarming promise—that all proceeds would go to children.

Several tennis players, like Novak Djokovic and Victoria Azarenka, lauded Andrey for this initiative. Andrey Rublev has been wearing his own brand at the matches he has played this year. As time progresses, fans will hope to see some of their favorite players don their kits as well.
Will tennis players wear Rublo kits in the future?
Andrey Rublev is an accomplished tennis player, with several titles under his belt. And now, the world number five is a businessman as well. With Andrey launching his clothing line, he will try to grow his brand in the future.
Rublev hopes some of his peers will wear his kits to spread the message of what his brand stands for. It is the ideal option for him since he confessed he cannot pay them to advertise it.
“I don’t have enough money to pay players to wear this clothing, so I don’t think we can make that happen at the moment. Maybe others will like the message and decide to wear it, but it is nicer when a clothing company pay you some money to wear their clothes,” he said (via Tennis365).
Andrey Rublev will hope to continue in this successful vein in the new season, and for Rublo to thrive as well. He will be seen in action at the World Tennis League in Dubai next.
