The Swiss tennis player Roger Federer and the American actress Anne Hathaway recently teamed up for the promotion of Switzerland tourism. The collaboration was a part of the ‘Grand Tour of Switzerland’ advertisement in partnership with the My Switzerland organization.
Federer has been on the sidelines with respect to the game of tennis for about a year now. The 40-year-old was last seen at the Wimbledon Championship last year, where he lost to Hubert Hurkacz in the quarter-finals. However, Roger has been in the spotlight for other subjects. Some time ago, Roger Federer announced that he would team up with Rafael Nadal at the Laver Cup later this year.
Roger Federer and Anne Hathaway learnt a lot from each other during this interview
Ever since the collaboration between the Swiss champion and Anne Hathaway happened, Federer has been updating about his experience on his Instagram page.
A few weeks ago the advertisement of the ‘Grand Tour of Switzerland’ came out and it displayed the excellent chemistry between Roger and Anne. Later, Federer posted some behind-the-scenes pictures of the promotional video. The Swiss athlete admitted it was fun to have worked with Anne Hathaway.
The two stars also had shot an interview they did of each other while they were working on the tourism video. The video is now out and Roger and Anne shoot questions to answer to each other in the video this time.
Federer took to Instagram to share the video and captioned it- “I’ve played a lot of tight matches in my career but I don’t remember ever sweating so much as I did filming this. Thank you for the acting tips Anne Hathaway. I better stick to tennis.“

The video begins with the two of them are seen talking about the must-pack items for a road trip during which they discuss about Swiss Army knives. The topic of discussion moved on to the place Roger liked to go as a child which turned out to be the mountains.
The interview got interesting when Anne was asked the question as to whom she would take on a road trip (dead or alive). When she picked Dolly Parton as her third choice, Roger Federer seemed to have a question mark on his face. As Anne started explaining who Dolly Parton is, he realized that he had ‘major learning’ to do about the Hollywood icon among other things. “I don’t remember ever sweating so much,” said Roger at the end of the discussion.
Roger mentioned some artists whose songs he sings in the car as a part of answer to the next question. The list included Queen, Roxette, and Britney Spears among others. The former World No.1 had to tell about the Swedish band Roxette when Anne didn’t know what it was.
Anne even admitted Roger Federer to be fun before they wrapped up the interview session.
