In his latest interview, Stefanos Tsitsipas spoke about the ongoing Rotterdam Open 2022 and cleared the air about replacing his father Apostolos Tsitsipas with a new coach.
A few days ago, before the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament took off, the World No.4 was seen practicing with a new coach and former Swedish tennis professional Thomas Enqvist.
Although Stefanos had not given any official announcements or any sort of statements regarding the change of company on court, it was assumed that the Greek athlete had replaced his father and coach Apostolos Tsitsipas.
When asked about the new inclusion to his staff during the interview, the 23 year old Tsitsipas stated-
“Enqvist is an addition to my team, that’s what he is. It’s important to have a person like him on my team. Enqvist has a lot of experience on the tour and I respect him a lot. The reason Thomas is here is to help me, give me another perspective and give me some ideas.”
