Four time Grand-Slam champion, Naomi Osaka has been declared the highest- paid woman athlete on the planet by the Forbes’ list recently.
The 24-year-old not only made her way into the top numbers of the Forbes’ list of the 10 highest earning female athletes, but also surpassed her counterparts to dominate the top position.
Having acquired $57.3 million, Osaka is now the highest paid woman athlete on the whole of the planet.
Despite being off the tennis tours and events for four complete months, Naomi has earned the huge sum in the year 2021.
The most intriguing point about this news, is that over $55 million of her grand income came off the court from her substantial list of endorsements and brand partnership.
2. Sweetgreen
Osaka got both an endorsement deal with the quick salad maker and an investment in the company in May 2021.
She was the company’s youngest investor.

Starting off with Adidas as her sponsor, Naomi Osaka switched to Nike, who came back for a second deal last year. The total apparel collection of the brand pays her a whopping $10 million per year.
Osaka ‘s joint investment on BodyArmor with Kobe Bryant (2019), endorsement turned investment at the Sweetgreen company, the expanding Hyperice- all deals in total have contributed notably to the Japanese tennis champ’s income last year.
Other investments of the young tennis star is at Daring Foods, North Carolina Courage, and Kinlo. Furthermore, Naomi ‘s prominent brand deals include those of- Tag Heuer, Beats, Louis Vuitton, Workday and Mastercard.
At the raw age of 24, Osaka has maintained the top position of the highest-paid woman athlete in the world for two years in a row, as she peaked the chart in 2020 with about $37 million income the previous year.
Naomi Osaka, had recently competed in the first tour after her mental-health break of four months at the Australian Open-2022. However she had to exit the Grand-Slam at the hands of Amanda Anisimova in the third-round of the tournament.

With an enormous earning of $45.9 million, American champ Serena Williams grabs the second position in the highest-paid women athletes list. Having been off-court for a while now, Serena had gathered her massive amount through the advertisements and partnerships.
At the third place is the former’s sister, Venus Williams, with about $11 million of earnings.
The other popular female-athletes on the list are- Simone Biles, Garbine Muguruza, Jin Young Ko, PV Sindhu, Ashleigh Barty, Nelly Korda and Candace Parker.
