Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek is often in the headlines for her daring displays on the court. The young player has amassed a number of Grand Slams and titles very quickly in her career. Therefore, it was natural to rope her into the tennis documentary ‘Break Point‘, produced by Netflix. She only appears in one episode of the documentary but it has been mired in controversy since it aired.

Fans took issue with the scene, thinking Swiatek had no say in her choices, and lashed out. But Swiatek came out in support of her psychologist, clarifying that the scene was misinterpreted.

A user commented that they had concerns when watching the episode. But their main concern was with how the piece was edited.
It’s difficult for me not to have concerns when watching this, however maybe some of the concern is in how the piece is edited.

Another person commented that it is sad that the trolls cannot understand such things. They could not understand why people were outraged over a normal chitchat.
“she’s just a person who’s going to kind of remind me of those stuff.”
It’s so sad how online trolls can’t comprehend these simple things. Like do they have friends and family who spend time with them? If they did they’d know this is normal chit chat lol— G (@2muchexposure) August 19, 2023
Another fan found it unusual that Daria goes wherever Iga goes, be it matches, salons, dinners, etc. They thought this behavior was kind of odd.
Does she go with her phycologist everywhere? Salon, matches, dinner… A bit odd
