Matteo Berrettini has become of the main players to challenge Nadal and Djokovic in the past one year. He has improved his game by a huge margin and is one of the favorites for any tournament he plays. Outside the tennis court, Berrettini enjoys a considerable female fan following.
It is fair to say that Berrettini is a handsome Italian and any woman would want him as her boyfriend. He was in a relationship with fellow tennis player Ajla Tomljanovic for two years. The two made their relationship official in 2019 and were a power couple in the tennis world.

However, things went south between the two and the couple broke up a few months back. Berrettini himself confirmed that he is single at the moment. As per Tennis World, he said a few weeks back, “Yeah, I’m single but it’s not like something that I am looking for, like, it’s not that I’m waking up and have to find love.”
Matteo Berrettini says single life is good for him at the moment
Berrettini is at a stage of his life where he can either pivot to win multiple grand slams or fade away like most of the players. His recent breakup with Tomljanovic could be a positive thing as he can focus more on his tennis. Even he thinks that his single life could be good for his career at the moment.
Moreover, he said, “It’s just something that is happening, it’s good for me, if it doesn’t, it’s another day, you know. But, yeah, overall, I’m spending more time with my team, I spent a lot of time with my family when I was injured, and I enjoyed a different kind of life a little bit.”
Berrettini had a disappointing grass court season as he couldn’t participate at Wimbledon after testing positive for COVID. He was one of the front runners to win the tournament and it ended tragically for him. With the US Open coming up, Berrettini focused on his hard-court game to win his maiden grand slam.
